# Cellar Operations

This page covers tank layout, tank occupancy, and cellaring workflows that are managed from the Cellar view.

# Cellar View Overview

Navigate to Production → Cellar to:

  • See all tanks for the selected facility
  • See current tank occupancy based on batch schedules and logs
  • Open a batch directly by clicking an occupied tank
  • Review active Cellaring in Kegs batches for the selected facility

# Configure Cellar Layout

Cellar layout is configured in Settings → Cellar Tanks and Settings → Cellar Maps.

# Step 1: Add Cellar Tanks

In Settings → Cellar Tanks:

  1. Add fermenters, unitanks, and brite tanks for each facility.
  2. Enter capacity and knockout limits as needed.
  3. Save.

# Step 2: Arrange Cellar Maps

In Settings → Cellar Maps:

  1. Select a facility.
  2. Use tank arrows to move tanks into a top-down layout that matches your cellar.
  3. Click Save Changes to commit layout changes.
  4. Use Revert Layout to discard unsaved moves and restore the last saved layout.

Notes:

  • New tanks are auto-placed into the first open map position for that facility to avoid overlap by default.
  • Tanks cannot be moved to negative coordinates.

# Cellaring in Kegs

For batches that transfer beer into kegs for temporary cellar storage:

  • The batch can be shown as Cellaring in Kegs.
  • Cellar-related events can appear in the batch timeline.
  • Cellar View shows active cellaring-keg batches in a dedicated row beneath the tank map.

Use this when beer is held in kegs before final packaging or service.
